My name is Sue Cooper, I am a seasoned Registered Nurse with over three decades of experience in the NHS, including more than 15 years in Continuing Healthcare Services across the UK.
In 2019 I founded my limited company, practising as an Independent Nurse Practitioner with a focus on NHS Continuing Healthcare.
My extensive experience as a CHC assessor, combined with supporting my own family through the CHC process, inspired me to specialise in helping others navigate this complex pathway. I offer a dedicated advocacy service to provide the support and guidance you need.
My Story
My career has spanned various specialist clinical and managerial positions. I have been at the forefront of service creation and team leadership in both the Mental Health and Learning Disability sectors, including A&E, acute in-patient and rehabilitation units, residential and nursing homes, specialist forensic services and community mental health teams.
Throughout my career I have consistently devised and implemented strategies that enhance business efficiency and productivity while upholding the highest standards of patient care. I am proficient in project management and excel at steering multi-disciplinary teams, networking, communication and have excellent interpersonal skills. I am deeply committed to the safeguarding and welfare of diverse populations, with hands-on experience working with children, adults and older people.
I am known for my creative problem-solving abilities, expertise in multi-agency collaboration and managing intricate, demanding situations. This has allowed me to devise novel solutions, instilling confidence in services to ensure top-tier, patient-focused care. I take immense pride in fostering the confidence and growth of others and value the need to tailor my approach to make everyone feel at ease. I encourage questions to develop strong relationships and collaborative partnerships for smooth transitions.
My work has taken me across the whole of the UK and my journey has been distinguished by a series of NHS accolades recognising my dedication to recovery, rehabilitation and team growth. These achievements have propelled me to my current position, where I can champion the highest standards of care for all by following my passion to advocate for the well-being of others.
